Have you ever walked into a room and instantly felt off—without anyone saying a word? That’s energy. We’re constantly moving through an invisible sea of it, and whether we’re aware of it or not, it impacts us deeply.
Energetic wellbeing isn’t just a spiritual buzzword—it’s about caring for your unseen self, the part of you that holds emotions, patterns, and unspoken stress. Your chakras—your body’s energy centers—are like emotional filters. They process everything you experience, not just what’s happening in your own world, but also what you pick up from others.
Every interaction, every space you enter, leaves a subtle imprint. Public transport, busy offices, shopping centres… they’re all filled with energy. Some of it might be light and uplifting—but much of it isn’t. Without regular energetic cleansing, those layers build up. You start feeling heavy, scattered, or even anxious—and you might not know why.
Nature tells a different story. When you step into the bush, sit by the ocean, or simply breathe under the open sky, your system starts to recalibrate. You’re not surrounded by noise—energetic or otherwise. It’s easier to connect with your own rhythm.
Simple rituals like chakra cleansing or taking a salt bath aren’t just about relaxation—they’re about release. They give you the space to let go of what doesn’t belong to you and come back to centre.
When your energy is clear, everything flows better. You feel more like yourself. More grounded. More aware. And that’s where true healing begins.

Chakra Cleansing Meditation
This meditation is the 'blueprint' for the healings to follow. Use the tool eg sage, and crystals in the same way. Follow the chakras release and cleanse. Then add positive energy. Simple!
Start at the base of your spine and move up through each chakra.
Intend that you can breathe the cleansing properties of the tool you are using into the chakra.
Then intend that you can release any negative energies from the chakra.
Once the chakra has been cleansed breathe the cleansing properties in and say a positive affirmation connected to the chakra you are working on.
Move to the next chakra and repeat
Use this technique with Sage/ Palo Santo, crystals, UV light and sound.
Sage and Palo Santo
Most people have heard of these two: sage and palo santo. Another beautiful gift from Mother Nature. Honestly—how lucky are we? She’s overflowing with remedies and tools for healing, just waiting for us to remember them.
We’re not the first to use them, either. Ancient cultures have known for centuries about the power of these sacred plants. They worked with them intentionally—for clearing energy, creating sacred space, and inviting in healing. That wisdom has been passed down for a reason. It works.
Using them is beautifully simple. All you need to do is light your chosen plant—whether it’s sage, palo santo, or another cleansing herb—and gently move the smoke around your body. Imagine the smoke soaking into your energy field, clearing away anything heavy or stuck. Let it drift through your chakras like a soft breeze, lifting and releasing what no longer serves.
If you've done the meditation above, you can follow the same rhythm—breathing in the intention, allowing the energy to shift, and grounding back into yourself.
This isn’t just about tradition—it’s about tuning in. These tools help you reconnect with your own energy and clear the path for your natural state of balance to return.
Crystals
Let’s talk crystals.
These little beauties aren’t just pretty to look at—they’re powerful allies in energy work and emotional healing. Each one carries its own frequency, like a tuning fork for your energy body, helping to balance, soothe, and realign you with your natural state.
Crystals have been used for centuries across different cultures for protection, healing, and spiritual growth. And the best part? You don’t have to be an expert to start using them. Your intuition is your guide. You’ll often find yourself drawn to the exact crystal your body or spirit needs—trust that.
Some of my favourites for clearing and balancing your energy include:
✨ Clear Quartz – the all-rounder. It amplifies energy and intentions and helps clear out anything that feels foggy or stagnant.
✨ Amethyst – deeply calming and protective. Beautiful for releasing stress and connecting to your intuition.
✨ Black Tourmaline – a must for energetic protection. Think of it like an energetic vacuum, pulling away what you don’t need and grounding your energy.
✨ Rose Quartz – gentle and heart-opening. Perfect when you’re healing emotional wounds or just need some extra love.
To use them, simply hold the crystal during meditation, place it over a chakra, or keep it nearby when you need support. You can also lie down and place them along your body, especially over areas where you feel blocked or heavy.
Cleansing your crystals is just as important as using them. They absorb a lot! Rinse them under water (if they’re water-safe), place them in the sunlight or moonlight, or smudge them with smoke. Keep their energy as clear as yours.
Crystals aren’t here to “fix” you. They’re tools to help you return to what you already are—whole, balanced, and deeply connected.
Salt baths
Let’s be real—nothing beats sinking into a warm bath at the end of a long day. It soothes your body, calms your mind, and gives you a moment to just be. But did you know that adding salt to your bath does more than just relax you? It also cleanses your aura and chakras.
Salt baths are one of my favourite ways to clear the energy body. As we move through the world—interacting with people, navigating crowds, visiting heavy places like hospitals or shopping centres—we naturally pick up energy that isn’t ours. Over time, that energy builds up in our field, leaving us feeling tired, foggy, or even emotionally off. Salt helps to release that build-up and return us to our natural state of balance.
I personally love using fine-grain Himalayan pink salt because it dissolves easily and has a gentle yet powerful clearing effect. I usually pick mine up from a wholefoods or health store. If you can’t find Himalayan, no worries—sea salt, rock salt, or any unrefined, non-iodized salt will do the job beautifully.
To nourish my skin and keep things in balance, I also like to add a splash of sesame oil and a few drops of essential oil to the bath—especially in winter, or if (like me) you’ve got a bit of Vata in your constitution and are prone to dryness.
No bath? No problem. You can use salt as a body scrub in the shower. Just mix it with a little oil and gently rub it into your skin. It’s a quick and easy way to reset your energy, especially on those busy days.
Try to make salt baths or scrubs part of your regular self-care—once a week is a great goal. They’re especially powerful after any kind of therapy or energy work, after an emotional release, or even after a stressful day or argument. It helps you let go—physically, emotionally, and energetically.
Salt really is one of nature’s simplest and most generous gifts. Just a handful can help you clear what’s not yours and come back to centre.
Ocean Cleanse
This is basically just a big natural salt bath. Nature knows what she's doing!
I definitely feel different in summer when I'm regularly going to the beach and getting in that cleansing salty water.
Sound
Sound is one of the most powerful tools we have for healing. Just think about how a song can instantly shift your mood—uplift you, move you to tears, or bring back a memory. In the same way, certain sounds and mantras have the ability to clear and harmonize our energy centres.
Each chakra has its own unique sound frequency, and when we work with those tones, we can bring balance, release stuck energy, and support our emotional and energetic wellbeing.
Sound baths are a beautiful way to experience this. They combine the vibrational healing of sound with the natural energy of crystals—working on both your physical and energetic body. You don't have to spend much time outdoors, surrounded by trees to feel its effects.

A big part of energy healing is cleansing and balancing the chakras—it’s one of the main reasons this work is so effective.
It never ceases to amaze me: when a client comes to see me with blocked or depleted chakras, and after just one session, they feel lighter, clearer, and more like themselves again. That shift can be felt on every level—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
