Yummy Healthy Food on the Web



I love eating good, healthy food and have spent the last few weekends trawling the internet looking for healthy websites to use and recommend as I try to break free of my habitual cooking patterns and give my taste buds something new to enjoy.

I am extremely grateful for all the amazing websites that are dedicated to healthy eating that I decided to share what I have found and ask you to contribute your favourite food sites for all us to enjoy. Although a lot of these sites are vegetarian I am in no way asking you to give up meat, I do not believe in pushing my beliefs and choices onto others. If you have site that are non-veg then please share them here all I ask is that the focus is on healthy simple food.

So here goes my first list:

Vegetarian

Oh my Veggies is full of delicious recipes and what I particularly like about this site are the meal plans. They give you a complete printable shopping list that will make 5 different recipes for the week, so no more throwing away unused ingredients.

Veggie Num Num this website seems to be on everyones recommended list and no wonder the pictures are fantastic and are full of delicious healthy ingredients ingredients.

101 Cookbooks if you can't find a recipe here that inspires you then throw away your pots and pans!

Veggie Belly inspired by Indian flavours and world travel.

The First Mess an amazing list of recipes many being gluten free.

The Sprouted Kitchen a focus on seasonal whole foods.

Green Kitchen Stories simple whole food cooking.

Inspired Edibles written by a nutritionist who believes that whole natural foods that are easy to digest can also be delicious.

Love and Lemons more delicious recipes with amazing pictures that make you want to run to the kitchen and cook.

Wheat Free, Gluten Free, Paleo

Paleo diets are not really suitable for vegetarians but I like to minimise the amount of wheat and gluten in my diet as I just feels so much better when I do and have found a lot of good veg friendly recipes on these sites.

Wheat Free Meat Free showing that it is possible to make delicious food without meat or wheat.

Tasty Yummies mostly vegetarian and all gluten free.

Raw Food

Can't say I have experimented much with raw food cooking apart from salads but I have tasted a lot of delicious raw food treats so might start experimenting.

A lot of the above sites have amazing cake and dessert recipes but these are dedicated solely to all things sweet.
