I love the Bhagavad Gita. I remember the first time I read it I couldn’t put it down. It was just like pages of gold that were uplifting my spirit and feeding me with concepts that I had been longing to hear.
The ancient Rishis of India knew what was going on. They had such a great understanding of the mind, the body and they spirit, ancient wisdom that we have only recently discovered in the West. They understood the beauty of nature and our connection to it.
They looked at life differently and understood to importance of inner peace and inner reflection. They understood that we have all that need, and that by connecting with nature, its beauty and gifts we could gain so much. It’s a lesson that is even more relevant today as we become more and more connected to the world around us, ourselves and others.
But the tides are changing, people are waking up and see the value in reconnecting and it is very exciting. I know because I had been one of them. Although I had always had a love for nature and would express that through art when I was younger I was still very disconnected to my true self. Since studying Yoga and Ayurveda, learning to meditate, and living a clean healthy life I have been able to start to find myself. It is very exciting but also challenging. But so, so worth it!
The Self is worth discovering, worth getting to know. Take the time to get to know it. Use the beauty of nature to help and guide you. Breathe it in. Soak it up. Be greedy there is enough for everyone.
Blessings on your journey xx
